Many of the would-be disciples of the Lord forsook Him after He emphatically declared that eternal life hinged on their eating His flesh and drinking His blood. This same teaching has also been twisted to support the heretical doctrines of consubstantiation and transubstantiation. The Lord has commanded His churches, by way of memorial, to partake of His body and of His blood. What does this mean?
