There is a great deal of confusion over the sacrifices of the Old Testament and the nature of salvation. From the heresies of men like Peter Ruckman relating to salvation in different dispensations to the belief of many evangelicals regarding the possibility of losing salvation, the doctrine has a common theme: an inadequate view of the substitution of Jesus Christ.
